Booking
& planning.

A few practical details before we meet.

How do I check availability?

Use the contact form to share the type of session you would like, your preferred dates or due date, and where you are based. Magda will help you plan the next steps.

How do I reserve a session?

A £50 booking fee reserves your session and is deducted from the price of your chosen package. The booking fee is non-refundable.

You can view the session options on the packages page.

When is the remaining payment due?

The remaining balance is payable on the day of your photoshoot. Please arrive a few minutes before your booked time so your session can begin as planned.

Can I change my package?

For newborn sessions, choose your package before booking: upgrading it later is not possible, although you can purchase extra retouched images after the session.

Maternity package changes, including changes to or from Bump to Baby, must be arranged at least seven days before your session.

Are weekend sessions available?

Yes, subject to availability and a supplement. The published weekend supplement is £25 for maternity sessions and £50 for newborn, family, children’s and portrait sessions. Please confirm the total when booking.

02 · The little beginning

Newborn
sessions.

Gentle photographs of your newest family member.

When should I book, and when does the session take place?

You can enquire after your second scan. We plan around your due date and confirm the session date after your baby arrives; please contact Magda within three days of the birth.

Newborn photographs are usually planned for the first few weeks. If your baby has already arrived, please ask about availability.

Can parents and siblings be in the photographs?

Photographs with parents are included in every newborn package. Sibling photographs are included with Standard and Premium. Express is a studio-only session.

If you would like other family members to take part, discuss this when booking. The published limit is six people plus your newborn.

Can you photograph our baby at home?

At-home sessions can be arranged with Standard and Premium. An additional travel fee depends on the distance from the studio at 75c Shakespeare Road, London NW10 8EY. Send your postcode so the fee can be confirmed before booking.

Express sessions take place in the studio only.

What should we bring?

Bring milk, nappies and a dummy if your baby uses one. Let Magda know beforehand about any needs or conditions that may affect the session, and about any meaningful props you would like included.

Can we choose the poses, props or a more natural style?

Tell Magda about the photographs you love before the session. A natural approach without props can be planned in advance.

Specific poses, outfits and accessories cannot be guaranteed for every baby. If a pose or accessory is not comfortable for your baby, we move on to something else.

03 · Before you meet

Maternity
sessions.

A little preparation for this special chapter.

When is a good time for a maternity session?

We usually plan maternity photographs between 28 and 36 weeks, while you are comfortable and your bump is beautifully round. Get in touch early to discuss dates.

What should I wear and bring?

Bring nude or plain white underwear and a nude or white bra with detachable straps. Discuss your preferred look beforehand, whether that is dresses, fabrics or more intimate portraits.

Your comfort and the style you would like are part of the planning conversation.

Are hair and make-up included?

Hair and make-up are not included unless you have specifically booked those services. Please arrive ready for your session; small finishing touches can be made during the shoot.

Can my partner or family join?

One person can accompany you unless a family session has also been arranged. Tell Magda who you would like photographed when you book so the session can be planned accordingly.

Can the session be outdoors?

Yes, outdoor maternity sessions are available as well as studio sessions. Let Magda know the setting you have in mind when you enquire.

04 · Your favourite people

Family, children
& portraits.

Simple preparation, with room to be yourselves.

What should we wear?

Choose comfortable, plain clothing in coordinating shades. Neutrals such as grey, navy and white work well; avoid large logos, busy patterns and very strong colours.

If you would like outfits prepared for a family session, ask at least two weeks ahead. Prepared outfits carry an additional charge.

How should we prepare our children?

Plan around your child’s usual rest and meals, and bring favourite toys and the everyday items they need. Please avoid sweets during the session.

We do our best to create lovely expressions, but a particular smile cannot be guaranteed.

Who can attend the session?

Only the people participating in the session should be in the studio. Parents remain responsible for accompanying children and siblings during the photoshoot.

For individual portrait sessions, discuss any accompanying person and any additional family photographs in advance.

Will another photographer or assistant be present?

A second photographer may assist Magda during the session. If this matters to you, please discuss it before your photoshoot.

05 · A very first celebration

Cake smash
sessions.

A little mess. A lot to remember.

What happens during a cake smash session?

The session begins with a few portraits before the cake comes out. Cake smash photographs capture your child exploring and enjoying the cake, followed by the bath-and-bubbles part of the session.

See the cake smash page for more about the experience.

What should we bring?

Bring a ready-decorated cake, milk, snacks, nappies and favourite toys. One basic cake smash outfit is included; bring an outfit for the portraits before the cake.

If you want to use your own cake smash outfit, let Magda know at least two weeks ahead. For the bath, bring a towel, a waterproof nappy and your own bath soap if you wish to use it.

What if my child has a food allergy?

Tell Magda about any food allergies at least seven days before the session. A suitable custom cake can be discussed in advance.

Can parents and siblings join?

Parents can be present. Siblings can attend when the cake smash is combined with a family or other fine art session; please arrange this when booking.

Can twins have a cake smash session together?

Yes. The session price stays the same for twins, with an additional £50 for a second cake.

06 · After your session

Your photographs.
Made to keep.

Choosing, receiving and enjoying your images.

When will we see our photographs?

Your selection gallery is prepared within up to four weeks. For family, children’s and cake smash sessions, the published turnaround excludes holiday periods and weekends.

If you need photographs for a particular date, mention this before booking.

How do we choose and receive our photographs?

You will receive a watermarked online gallery to select your favourites. This gallery is for choosing your images, rather than downloading them.

Your selected finished photographs are delivered through a secure Google Drive folder. Take care when choosing, as images cannot be replaced after your final selected files have been supplied.

Can we purchase extra images or the whole gallery?

Yes. Additional retouched photographs and the full retouched gallery can be purchased. The price depends on the number of images in your gallery.

Do you provide RAW or unretouched photographs?

No. Only finished, retouched photographs are available to purchase. Magda selects the best images from your session for your viewing gallery.

Can we print our images or order wall art?

Digital photographs are suitable for prints up to 20 × 30 cm. For larger formats, ask about professionally prepared prints and wall art.

Printed products and digital files are separate products. Explore the prints and wall art options for more details.

Can we request changes to the photographs?

For family, children’s and cake smash sessions, requests for changes must be made within 24 hours of receiving the gallery. Please contact Magda promptly if you have a question about an image.
